Uptown Christmas Parade

64th Annual Uptown Whittier Christmas Parade
Saturday, December 9, 2017
10am - 12 noon

The Whittier Uptown Association is pleased to present the 64th Annual Candy Lane Christmas Parade in beautiful Uptown Whittier.  This year’s parade is set for Saturday, December 9, 2017 and will be filled with Music Bands, Equestrians, Drill teams, Vintage Automobiles and a variety of entries.
This year’s theme is Candy Lane inspiring participants to be a kid and reliving the nostalgic game board most of us played, the classic Candy Land game with Gingerbread man, Peppermint Forest, lollipop palace and licorice lagoon.  This yummy and sweet theme is colorful and playful for all ages.
The parade route will start at Hadley and Greenleaf, travel down on Greenleaf and end at Mar Vista and Washington Ave.  Arrive early to get great seats.
Registration is now open to the public.  Don’t think twice about participating in the parade. For most, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for schools, organizations and families to participate in a live parade for the community and family to see.  The Uptown Parade has a huge audience. It is played on City of Whittier Channel 3 the last two weeks of December.
If you’re ready to see months of dedicated planning, hard work and creativity pay off, participate and catch a view of the parade live.
DEADLINE  to receive application and payment is  Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
